Why do you perform annual filter cleanings?

Regular cleaning of your D.E. or cartridge filter helps reduce the pump pressure and additional wear and tear on your equipment by keeping your filtration system operating efficiently.  The increased pump pressure comes from build up from dirt, debris, sunscreen, and other water contaminants such as calcium.

If I am a weekly service customer, what do I need to do around my pool?
